These XFX ATI Radeon HD6950 2 GB DDR5 2DVI/HDMI/2x Mini-Displayport PCI-Express Video Card HD695XCDFC way out perform some other brand including major brands and department store brands. The major selling points for me personally are hight quality with low price.

I bought the 2GB version of the 6950 card with the dual fans. It is so freakin' fast it's just crazy, and it runs nice and cool and very quiet. This card will play ANY current game maxed out 100% - [just as long as you have a good CPU -otherwise you'll bottleneck it]. Make sure you have at least a 600 watt good quality PSU (AMD recommends at least 500 watts, but that's the min. I went for a 650w Corsair TX650- and it works great).
If you have the option- go for the dual fan set up instead of the single fan version because the single gets a little warm. Also, make sure it'll fit in your case- it is a long card.
You can't beat this card- man... it is sweet. 65+ FPS on Crysis 2 maxed out. And XFX gives it a lifetime warranty. Bonus.
I think, explains the few gripe on XFX ATI Radeon HD6950 2 GB DDR5 2DVI/HDMI/2x Mini-Displayport PCI-Express Video Card HD695XCDFC not fitting or leaking.
