This GPU is amazingly fast and incredibly well done. I'd wanted to build a new PC for gaming and considered getting the GTX680, but the price-to-performance point was with the 670. In all honesty, I would have gotten the GTX 670 FTW (for the win) version, but it was out of stock on Amazon, so I opted for the 4GB card. Most games are not going to take advantage of the 4GB of memory unless you are running in SLI and running with multiple (3+) monitors.
